In 2019, you don\u2019t have a choice<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you complied with PQRS in 2016, but hated the 5-10 minutes of extra work,<\/strong> plan on doubling\/tripling that amount of time in 2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To some, the following is a shocking, controversial statement.\u00a0 To us, it\u2019s common-sense advice:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #00968f;\"><strong>Your job <u>is not<\/u> to comply with PQRS, MIPS, MACRA or other healthcare reform requirements.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #00968f;\"><strong>Your job is to restore your patients\u2019 functional deficits<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Look at It This Way<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Medicare is not judging you with an army of employees.\u00a0\u00a0 Medicare is judging and punishing you with a supercomputer.<\/p>\n<p>The way to thrive (spend your time treating and increase reimbursements) amidst healthcare reform is to use your own supercomputer to submit perfect coding and defense, while you are hands-on treating the patient.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Real-World Examples:<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Last year we learned that 98.2% of therapists using Systems4PT complied with 2015 PQRS requirements\n<ul>\n<li>Only 1.8% did not comply \u2013 <strong>BY FAR<\/strong> the highest compliance in outpatient rehab<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>So far, this year 100% have complied with 2016 PQRS requirements<\/li>\n<li>Our practices\u2019 2015 average revenue per claim was higher than 2014<\/li>\n<li>And our practices\u2019 average 2016 revenue per claim was higher than 2015<\/li>\n<li>And by the way, their evaluation documentation time was half that of yours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>If You\u2019re Penalized for 2016 PQRS, We Recommend:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Blame your low-tech, no-tech EMR<\/li>\n<li>Take 2019\u2019s increased reporting requirements seriously<\/li>\n<li>Realize that \u201cIn 2019, penalties will be 3-4 times higher than today.
